pictures say a thousand words so here are a few that might make you laugh....Allen is probably still laughing.
This guy likes to do burnouts. He did a nice 300 footer in his Z06 and so he thought he would be a bugger and lay one out in front of our shop, in his 4X4... Nelson would say...HaaaaaHaa

I can tell that something broke, and I can see the u-bolts hanging loose, but I can't tell what it is that gave way. What is it that actually broke?

blocks go between the axle and leaf spring, lifting the truck. Gives the axle alot of leverage over the springs, tons of axle wrap and wheel hop. Looks like the bolts stretched a little and the blocks came out or the blocks broke.

A good reason to never use suspension lift blocks to lift a truck.

Well I wasn't there but I heard it was very violent...at one point right before the finaly, the tires came off the ground about 4 inches.
Hey, is the pinion stem supposed to spin free with the tires on the ground? Yes lots broke and it should be very exspensive. He might even learn this time around but I won't hold my breath. CAAHHHCHINGGG!!!! ROFL

Yep, just because it's the cheapest way to lift, doesn't mean it's the BEST way to lift!

Very good advice in the protouring world as well. The vice is true as well

That is awsome! I got a 2001 powerstroke, it runs well. I have one inch blocks in the back? I guess less leverage = less troubles. I would love a four link coilover Fabtech 8 inch lift, that would cure that guy's problems.
Most diesel's,if ya do it right, are putting 1000 to 2500 foot lbs to the rear wheel, easy. If your gonna put that much to the pavement, be ready to break the weekest link!
My friends twin turbo 6700 lb Dodge went 124 at 11.5 in the 1/4 mile, it gets 21 MPG and has 800 hp.
Get'r'fixed and get to burning them tires again!

I'm still laughing. Every time I see that pic, I imagine the guy that did it, and then I imagine watching it happen. I laugh every time. I just wish I was there to see it happen. I might have died. And finding out he broke the rear too? Oh man... I might not sleep tonight.
