What's the best way to repair the rear upper suspension mounts on the frame of a 68 chevelle. It looks like someone cut the outside part of the mount with a torch to get the rear out at one time.
Thanks, Jason

You could get another A-body frame and either cut the mounts out of it or use it for a template to make new mounts from metal (10 gauge???). They are flat pieces so it shouldn't be hard to make.

The frame looks old and rusty. Might be a the perfect reason to track down another one and get it blasted, painted and rebuilt. Replace all the bushings and have a tight ride.

Use the other side as a template, and cut it out of a piece of 1/8" steel, then weld it on... maybe add a couple little gussets to be sure it will hold.
Don't throw away an otherwise perfectly-good frame. That rust is no big deal. As long as it's solid right behind the cowl, it's no big deal.

Or you could take this as a wonderful opportunity to try out one of the other rear suspension options out there - which would probably be where I went from here (3-link, torque arm, etc).
In fact, you might want to get a hold of the folks from Hotrods to Hell - I don't know if they cut these brackets off the frames when they add their truck-arm, but if they do then they've probably got a couple sitting around that they could send.

There's some larger pictures in my picture trail account. Just click the link in my signature. I was hoping these parts would be available. Because believe it or not this car is in better shape then my Camaro https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif There's hardly any rust on the body.
Thanks, Jason

You could just install a full fabricated frame, Swartz Performance is selling a completely fabricated A-body frame for a base price of $2395.

I bet it gets pretty expensive if you start getting options. A full rolling chassis is $11,000 per their webpage

It ljust looks like a really easy way to get a very modified suspension under your A-body
