I am buying a seperate frame and doing my suspension all up and I was wondering if they are worth the money or is there someone that is just as good and less money ?

I want to do sway bars, upper and lower control arms front and back..........I am adding all the misc G-Body braces that came on the different cars and either doing Air Ride "Shockwaves" or the QA1 coil overs front and back.

Thoughts ?

Oh....and the car is a 86 Buick Rega (started life as a base model)

Hotchkis springs, shocks and rear swaybar for the G body are fine.
We`ve done a LOT of R&D on the G chassis and have some very unique G specific parts that actually correct the poor factory geometry rather than trying to bandaid it. For rear arms I`d go Currie Currectrac. They`re the only direct fit upper AND lower arms available for the G chassis with greasable spherical ends on one side to reduce rear suspension binding rather than increasing it like solid tubular arms with poly bushings on both ends do. They`re not on the site yet but we carry them also. Nice stuff. :) Mark SC&C

I'd look into what Marcus (SCandC) offers for front control arms and long ball joints. Stay away from the "tall spindle" and control arms from Hotchkis - these are B-body spindles and introduce as many problems as they solve.

What would be the price of Currie Currectrac G-body rear control arms from SC&C?

Drop me an e mail at SC&C and I`ll be happy to give you prices on them. We should have them up on the site in a couple weeks. :) Mark SC&C

I have a G-Body and was considering using Hotchkis and change over to B-Body spindles for bigger rotors(better stopping) Do they create problem?

Do few searches, and you will find many threads on the subject. To get into some real detail, ask Dennis (I do believe he is on PT). In a nut shell, the cause you to loose your turning radius, slow down your steering ratio, and cause bad bump-steer. Other than all that, they're great! In anycase, there are companies that use your stock spindles for big brakes. Or, you can look into the ATS spindles. I don't know if they have spindles for your car yet. I don know that they are working on one for the earlier A-Bodies that have already done the tall spindle swap. This will correcet the bump-steer and turning radius problems of the swap. Talk with Dennis, or SC&C about other options that use taller ball joints and tubular upper arms.

Just so you'll know, I am running the GW upper and lowerson my '72, along with the tall spindle. As soon as ATS has their A-body spindle ready, I will be purchasing them.

Shiny Side Up!

I am doing a pro touring GBody. All the GM Parts are comming off and I am going to Front Half the car. Probably base most of my parts of a mustang II, But I am building everything so it will work well together.
