Well, I was thinking about ways to add a bit more visual impact to my Mach (which is currently painted the original Bright gold metalic). I was inspired a bit by my brothers 2 toned modified 240SX where he flat black'd the top side of the car. I tried a couple versions, but I think this one works best... the OEM Bright gold metalic over a satin black:

I like the black'd out chrome and markers too... maybe I could use a combination of powder coating and "black chrome" finishes. Any comments?

I think that looks great, Buddha. The black chrome would look sweet, but the powder coat may flow better with the satin finish. I like the black markers as well, you could probably do that real easy with some 5% tint over the amber.

DB, glad to see you back! Haven't seen you in a while. That 'chop looks killer. You must keep this in the file for future reference. Very cool.

Thanks for the feedback... the more I look at it, the more I like it. Still, I do like it stock too... hmmm...

Boyd: I'm super busy these days with especially large classes I'm teaching and my research projects, on top of a rather complicated schedule for some special classes my 18 month old is attending. I'm lucky to get a couple hours a week to visit all my favorite web forums. Heck, I still haven't had a chance to read my last 2 issues of Car Craft and Hot Rod.
