I remember reading in a GM High Tech Performance that a good power steering cooler to get was one from an F body that had it built into the radiator hose coming from the radiator. Now here is a thought I had. Since I have switched to a manual tranny. Would the tranny fluid cooler built into the radiator be of any value to use it for the power steering fluid cooler when road course racing? Or is one really needed?

David Pozzi had good luck doing this in his wife Mary's car.

I'm using a tranny cooler i got from summit: 3/4" thick, 4 pass. You just want to stay away from the standard water radiator style for PS because of vibrations in the PS system.
D.Pozzi talked to Lee Manufacturing about that. They said it wears on the rad. really quickly.

Yes, If you are going to go on a road course. I burned the P/S pump and started a leak on the way home from Buttonwillow last Nov. Make sure use use a tube style and not a plate type. Look around and get one from your local yard or get a new one.
