My car is at the beginning stages of assembly. The subframe is solid mounted w/Global West solid bushings and I installed DSE subframe connectors and a 14 pt. cage. When I reinstalled the subframe I spent hours making sure it was alligned and straight. The bodyman that performed the bodywork for me said that he trammed it and confirmed that my plumb-bob method for alligning the tub and subframe got it nice and straight. When I removed the front clip I removed it as one piece and now that I'm trying to reinstall it, I'm finding that getting the fenders and doors to line up is near impossible. Machining 1/4" off the radiator support bushings would make it line up perfectly. My question is, has anybody w/solid subframe bushings had this problem? Again, the car has a 14 pt. cage, so trying to load the front of the frame w/weight to try and wedge the bushings in doesn't work to well.

Okay, was this just a stupid question or nobody knows?

They do sell those bushings in two different heights. Maybe you got a mixed batch.

Doors should be fit to body and then fenders to cowl and doors. So if your doors are ok it has to be your support. Also make sure you have them in correctly.

If you didn't have it tied with cage with forward bars the sub could drop.

I have darn near 180 words in my original post and I could'nt even specify the type of car. It is a 69 Camaro. In retrospect, it was a stupid question w/out giving pertinent info.

Do you have the bushings in the right order up front?

Yes, the bushings are in the right order and they are all the standard height.
