Well, I got home from work Tuesday evening and this is what I saw.

This is my official introduction of Project Liberator.

65 Malibu, My dream car.

Plans include:
Big disk brakes
17 or 18" American Racing Salt flats
Bolt on suspension/handling pieces along with lowering the car
Not definate on paint yet, but current idea is Corvette Spiral Gray
Might try to keep the light aqua interior while adding custom bucket seats uphostered to match.
Eventually it will have a fuel injected engine and 6 speed tranny.

I am working on doing renderings now... They won't be as nice as some of the other renderings I have seen on here, but they will be decent.

And for those of you wondering about the name... My grandfather passed away 5 yrs ago yesterday and I have wanted to build something themed towards his memory. He was a tail-gunner in a B24 Liberator during WWII. Hence the dark silver paint and the flat gray wheels. If I get carried away the interior will have an industrial styled interior some custom gauges.

Welcome to the site Tony.
It's cool when someone has a story behind the name for a car.
Looks like you have a good starting point.

You got this as a present? (looks like a bow on the window)

If it's from wife/girlfriend, she's definitely a keeper.

Early Valentine's present from wife of 5 yrs.. She wanted to contact Overhaulin' for me but knew that I wanted to do this all myself. and she is right. I couldn't let someone else do all the work for me on something I have waited 18 yrs for...

Thanks for the compliments, more pics coming soon.
