I'd like some opinions on suspension components for my 80 Camaro. Right now I'm leaning towards the Hotchkis full setup. Someone deterred me from the Vette Brakes parts because of being too stiff in the front, and that mono leafs in the rear were bad about flexing side to side. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

On a street car, the Hotchkis setup will be fine. I'm not sure that the Vette Brakes parts are all that bad, but everyone has their own opinion. If you're gonna be running the track often, you'll want to do more, but for the street, it'll be good.

I am in the process of installing the Hotchkis TVS system on my 80. I have had no fitment or quality problems with any of the parts so far. Once I get it on the road again I'll give you my opinion as to the improvement in performance.

I have the Hotchkis springs on my 75 Camaro:

- great for street driving, improved handling, and not to harsh
- rear leafs, lowered the car as advertised
- front spring "may" need trimming to achieve desired ride height, but you'll have to install them to find out
- I would recommend using their valued Blistein shocks, I originally used KYB's and IMO they did not work well with the springs (especially the fronts)

Thanks for the input. I have been trying to decide on shocks too. I was looking at the Bilsteins or Koni. I heard the KYBs were a little harsh... my brother has them on his '69 Camaro.
