I hope this is the right place to ask a question!

I just bought a 1969 Camaro that Freeland had built in September of '79
that has a ton of hand made tricks. It is a WILD looking car with metal flare's front and aft. (4 inch front & 5 inch rear) it has his name on the cowl tag & PHASE 1 Camaro on it as well.

The old lacquer paint was bubbling so the previous owner made a mess that will have to be fixed but, the interior is great, all but the headliner thats falling down.

As soon as I can figure out how to post pictures, you guys will be amazed ( I think) at this car.

Moses , a few months ago I asked if anyone knew about this car, it was in an article caled "whine country".

Please post some pictures , I am interested. I think the car was a little over the top (imsa bodywork) but very cool.

The tan and black car? Does it still have the Jongbloed (sp?) wheels on it? That is one of my favorite cars ever. I wondered what happened to it, a car like that doesn't just end up in a junkyard.

I remember 2 cars that he built. Sounds like you have the one that is 2 toned. It is like a beige on top & black on bottom. BBS wheels, big block, manual trans. If this is the car. This car was way ahead of its time. This car was & is Pro Touring before we even knew what it was.

Where did you find it?

Bringing an old thread back up to the top.

Does anyone know what magazines this car was featured in?? The tan and black car.

I saw the article/pics in a mag about 30 years ago, it was already a few years old at that time. This car had been in the back of my mind ever since and i"ve been wanting to find the magazine.
I just have found out the owner/builders name from a very small black and white pic from 1983. I did an internet search, found a few pics of the car on Cardomain, and a 2 page pic that was ripped from a magazine on Ebay, but no info about the mag.

Can you guys help me out with this?

Thanks, Saleen_85_00

I actually bought that car about 5 years ago. I have replaced the 427 with a 502 Ram Jet fuel injected engine and have removed the side winders as they were too loud. It now has 3 inch Flow Masters, a Digital Dash and Vintage Air. It truly is one of a kind
