Has anyone ever removed the drip rails above the windows of a 69 camaro? Any reasons not to?

Yes, people have.

If you choose to do so, the biggest issue would be warpage from where you had to weld the roof skin back on - go slow, don't overheat the metal. Don't cut much of the rail away at the time as the roof will try to pull away from the rest of the body - the rail is where it's attached.

I'm sure others will pipe up with other reasons why not or things you need to do/not do.

Personally, while it looks good, just running the windshield wipers with the windows down on a modern car without driprails reminds me just how nice it is to have driprails - getting windshield washer fluid all over my arm just doesn't make my day.
