Yes it is.. but Stuart sold it about 6 months ago for (rumored) around $170k.. I guess the new owner is trying to flip it for a profit.

wow that is pretty steep on that car IMO......I wouldn't think he could turn it at much more than that. But I could be wrong

Too bad Jody get no credit for actually building the initial car, like Kyle does,

The black car looks a lot like the one that is owned by James Brown (the sports announcer).

You know, DSE gets a lot of credit for changing the look of the car with the minitub, new dash, and updated engine compartment. I had several changes planned but was tired of putting more and more money into the same car, so I jumped out. I'm glad Stuart got it as he did many of the changes I would have done if I had kept it longer.

Which car of james are you reffering to? He just recently sold his black(whidby) car to fund a new black(whidby) car the one that was a top 5 SMOY car w/red guts

Not sure what car I am referring too!?!? I recall seeing an article with him and a very cool '69--similar to the one linked above.

Lots of $$$ in that car and it was done very well.. Good quality work brings a premium. I would certainly rather have it over the Unique Camaro. All you need at Barrett is two guys that really want the same car :)

I do see lots of money in the car....and we all know how the BJ thing works...guess it's time to sit back and watch

I think the 4 (6?) inch cowl hood on the black car will kill it for some people. Sweet car, but the cowl doesn't work with the rest of the look, and yes, I realize it's necessary for clearance.

The black Camaro lot #1552.1 is Awesome. I love the interior in that car, the whole this is just sweet.

Jody, I know Kyle did a lot of work to it but you were the originator of it, but its going to be easier to sell with the DSE/Tucker name than yours(no disrespect here) I'd buy a car with your name on it, LOL
What happen with the other 69 you were building, any spy shots???

In regards to the yellow car, in the description it says it has a "9 bolt rear axle".
I will say flat out I am NOT a fan of the BJ auction at all (so I'm nitpicking), but I'd think for how much money they're trying to bring for these cars that they'd at least get their details correct.

In case you didn't catch it, it was the last car friday night. $148k !!!
I am happy that the car went for that much. I do not feel so bad dumping so much money into my car now!
The rumors might have been pretty close.

If we are giving credit for the yellow car we shuld also go back earlier than Jody to Lance Sato. That is who first built it with a aluminum 427, painted it and sold it to me as a ZL1 clone. It used to sit in the showroom at Summit racing.

Your 100 % correct Charlie, I forgot that car was a ZL1 clone before Jody got his grubby hands on it!!
Good job Lance nice car!!

Amen brother, gave me a great starting point. And that's what I wanted at the time, a car I could re-do without having to do a full disassembly to.

It's a very well done car with a ton of history behind it.. and a lot of exposer. That does add to the price.
Am I the only one that felt the Aluminator was just screaming for a set of those hood hinges from DSE?? :)

Steve, It was the first thing that went throught my mind when the hood went up on it. :hmm: It would top off the engine bay really nicely and I don't believe anyone would think that $600 would be too much to spend on them for what it just went for.

1552 to me is lacking a few small details under the hood that could help bring the $$$$$$.
