I generally prefer a monotone look on almost all cars; painted, but there are some exceptions.

I just saw Ryan's (Rybar) car and I am convinced that I will paint my rear bumper(s) instead of having them re-chromed. Same with the front bumper. It will be painted.
Ryan's car.

I like a painted front, especially with a RS, and a chrome rear.

It is very much dependent on the car and the desired look. Often, though, I like painted, which is probably why I like the 77 Z28 much more than the 74-77 Camaro.

by veiwing his profile I would say it is a 67 NOVA and IMO chrome would look best! But the color of the car will also effect this!

Yes its a 67 nova it will be a type of a Prowler orange, with a leather interior and 17' wheels.

I think that is the color of Steve's 68 (http://www.z069.us/)

Very nice, it really pops. I agree with above, it very much may depend on the other trim on the car, but I think with that color either way would look nice.

Thanks, the color is close to that maybe a little bit lighter.
It is going to have chrome trim all around the windows but thats it. there is going to be no moldings down the side of the car.

Steve's car is Prowler Orange. I would say chrome on a '67 Nova.

Maybe you could paint one and have an old chromer laying around and try them both?

Is there any special prep neccessary to paint over chrome other than the obvious (sand/prime/seal)?

Chrome would look great with the other accents in my opinion
