I was told this could not be done, but a friend of mine gave me a junk 1988 Caprice tank (with intank pump). I slid it under the Camaro. Obviously the plus is extra fuel capacity, a proper in tank sump location for slosh, and the ability to drop in a stock high pressure MPI pump.

So, here is the initial result. It fits just fine between the springs. I cut the neck for test fitting. It would requre a new one to be soldered on there.

In these pics it hangs down a tad low as the pick up in the top is raised. "IF" I run this style tank I would notch my truck floor for two reasons:

1. Proper tight fitment of tank against the trunk floor
2. Easy access to the pump for service as needed.

What do you think?
