TonyL's post about the 3rd gen got me thinking about an early 'PT' ride... (I didn't want to hijack your thread)
About ten years ago- I went to Burns Stainless to talk with them about some marine headers we were having built, blah, blah, blah.... We were in one of the bays admiring some of their custom work on a boat engine. Sitting in the back was a straight, electric blue 69 that had a full Weaver road-race chassis. The Back had been mini-tubbed & had a form of 3 link (it was hard to see). Of course, a 355 with your typical RR flare was installed. I can remember the smile on his face when he said his goal was a 1+ G experince on street tires. The car was going through some final front chassis work, but it was badass nonetheless!
Anyone ever hear / see / smell this car? I'm not actually sure if it was Mr. Bob Burns- unfortunately, he passed away in 2005. Art was there with us; maybe he can shed some light on the car.
PS- if any of you other "love stainless parts" types are anywhere near Costa Mesa, stop by Burns Stainless; it'll be like heaven! (no commercial intended)
