I have a 69 camaro with a small block 400 in it right now. The tranny just died so I thought I would update the tranny with a 700R4 out of a newer camaro. Someone said they think I need to shorten the drive shaft. I have NO CLUE as I have never done this. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, pictures, winning lotto numbers? Thanks

Yup. You will move the rossmember rearward and have the driveshaft shortened. The driveshaft is the last part of the process. Get everything else done, then find the local driveshaft shop. They will tell you how they want you to measure. It's easy.
