Hey everyone, just curious who all has used an aftermarket kit and who did you use, was it worth it or would you go a different route if you did it all over again, sorry if this has been discussed before but I'm currently looking for a project car and need 10 post to access the classified section,
Looking for a '70 Chevelle project
TIA

I've used AAW for smaller partial projects and Painless for a whole car. Would go with either based on scope.

Thank you for the input much appreciated, I'll look into both those companies, trying to get a plan and vendors people have used and what worked and what didn't, I've been out of the car building scene for a while

I've used AAW classic update kit in a couple modified/pro-touring style cars. Great instructions, kits are complete, works great...would definitely use again. Though, for correct restorations I use M&H.

I used AAW and would do so again. Clear instructions, wire labeled every 5" or so and they were very helpful the times I called.

That is true from my experience as well. AAW was always available and patient for non electrical people.
Painless Performance was a different story. The guy I got on line the seemed insulted by my question.

Thanks for the info, after doing some research on both vendors I think I'll go with AAW I also like the idea of having the wire labeled like that would make it easier for tracing and troubleshooting, it's common in the marine industry
