Any thoughts or opinions on this car? Might be a fun track car for the wife. Not looking to do anything ultra competitive. But im not a camaro guy, so im not sure what to look out for.

I'd pass on it. 69 Camaros are extremely popular cars, and from the pictures that one looks prime for restoration. If she wanted a daily driver for nice weekends, that would be a different story.
For a cheap track car, I'd be looking for something like a late 90s Camaro, Mustang or something along those lines. Something small, lightweight and cheap, and the 90s cars are not so computer driven that the computer can't be removed without affecting a lot of stuff that never should have been hooked to one. Track cars are meant to be abused and can be expected to be hit or run into something at some point. 26 grand would let you buy a cheap car, put a full NEW roll cage in so you know what you're getting, plus you'll be able to build the drivetrain to be somewhat competitive.

A Camaro makes a killer track car—raw power, sharp handling, and aggressive looks. The V8’s roar and rear-wheel-drive grip are addicting on the circuit. With mods like coilovers and brake upgrades, it’s a beast. Maintenance can sting, and it’s not the lightest, but for pure fun and American muscle vibes, it’s hard to beat. Perfect for enthusiasts chasing thrills.

I totally disagree with this
for $26k you could do way worse

That's fine, but I stand by my post. The car in the picture looks to be in too good of shape (and there aren't many left) to abuse on a track when there are millions of other less collectable but fully capable cars that can be used for the track. That Camaro in its current condition (from the pictures) could easily be restored and be worth a mint.
I'm not saying don't buy the car, I'm just saying don't buy it for a short life of hard abuse.

I mean, there are also far better ways of spending 26k as well. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with building up a 1st Gen F-body for track use, but they're not great out of the box, and to Vimes point, they aren't really something you ever want to bin. A C5 Z06 is a far better platform to start with for a track car at that price.
But if OP wants to do it, there's a ton of options, as its one of, if not the most popular platform for this stuff.

Idk, I tend to stay away from sellers that list a "camero".

I've been on a "wanting a C5" kick lately.
so many distractions, so little garage space.

thanks for the responses from everyone.
Initially it seemed like a good price for ..most of a Camaro, but after close inspection of the video in the ad, I'm thinking this car is good from afar, but far from good.
