Hi, I have a stock LS3 525, so it has the ASA cam. I decided to add a Whipple 2.9, so now I need to do a cam swap. The car has a T56 close ratio and 3.70’s. I am looking at https://cammotion.com/in-stock-ready-to-ship-cams/pd-228-242-ls-supercharger-camshaft-228-242-118-4-for-positive-displacement/ . It is going to be a street car that I would like to run reliably, with a nice exhaust chop. Will this be a good choice, or is there a better option? Thanks

I would actually go one step milder:

Are you using Holley EFI ?

I had great results with the Summit 8715 ghost cam. Made 633 rwhp/619 rwtq on my L92 with LSA supercharger at ~11 psi.

The custom grid in my KenneBell 2.8/370ci with big cathedral heads is close to the Cam Motion options posted at 225/242 .620/.627 117+6. I wouldn't say it "chops" but can't deny it has a cam. If you are looking for that choppy idle sound, the TSP listed has more overlap, thus should make a little more noise at idle. All three will likely make similar power, however, overlap is not as needed with boost to draw in charge air at rpm. Rather too much overlap can bleed out charge air under boost.

Yes, terminator x max
Cam motion lists different cams for centrifugal or positive displacement superchargers, what do they do differently to the grinds? The cam you suggested says its for a centrifugal, so I’m interested in your thoughts on the different grinds. Thank you.

Thanks for the info
