I am torn between running a 305/19 or a 315/18 on the rear of this car.
Wheels will be satin black Forgeline GA3s.
Give me your vote.

Go with 18's, the sidewall will be very thin with 19's.

I would do 18's as well. Much above that and the wheels start to look like a hot wheels car. Also, as mentioned, more sidewall. The wheel weight is less with 18's as well. Guys that run 20's on the street (vettes for looks), will run 18's on the track.

I can get behind the staggered look!

I went with the 18/19 staggered setup. I wanted to run a 325 tire and had limited options with an 18. That was like seven years ago. Could have changed.
Rushforth wheels in my case.

I disagree on staggered. Go square, and you can rotate. I'd also go with the smallest wheels that will clear the calipers. Big wheels with rubber band tires do not look right, and rubber is lighter than steel. A lighter overall wheel/tire combo will handle better and have a more comfortable ride.

18/19 stagger. 295 and 345.
I have this 295/345 staggered combo on a ‘68 and like it. It’s a lot of tire so the overall impression, to me, is “muscular-aggressive”, if that makes sense.
The 275/335-18 combo has that awesome, lower, “sleek-performance” vibe. Steve’s “Dustoff” Camaro is my favorite example. It’s a popular combo but he just did it right.
You’re talking 305/35/19 or 315/35/18, right? The difference in sidewall would be negligible at about 0.1”, so the 19’s won’t be like rubber bands. They’re one burnout away from being the same sidewall height.
IMHO
They’re actually so close that I’d choose the size that best fills the fenders for your ride height. I think the 18’s would look best, but only if you can get the fender within a couple fingers of the tire. If you’d have 3 fingers or more then go with the 19’s.
The 18s are lower and wider. They’ll look best if you can lower the suspension to fill the fender gap. For some reason short/wide tires really magnify what fender gap you do have. The less top tread you see the better.
Since the 19s are taller by almost 3/4” that height can help to fill the gap between the fender and top of the tire if lowering isn’t an option.

By the way. This car will keep its 60 inch wide stock width rear end. That should only make a difference in the lip width but thought I would mention it.

Here is my S10 with 305/30-19 in front & 305/35-19 rear.
Gives you an idea of sidewall height.
I only did this due to tire availability & front caliper clearance.
Otherwise, I would have used 18's.

I would also go 18s on the Camaro; the additional side wall gives it a slightly better look. I also would go 18s all around versus the staggered so you can rotate them, unless you don't drive the car enough to rotate them and replace them when they get dry rot?
