Can anyone recommend a tool (where to purchase) to remove front and rear windows from 69?

Any of the "Taiwan" tools guys at any show or local tool store will have a tool for removing windshields. About $8.00 for the Taiwan version.

Try this from Eastwood. Well worth it. http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=2006&itemType=PRODUCT&RS=1&keyword=windsheild

They also make a serrated wire for cutting them out this usually works a little easier. Most body and paint supply stores sell it. But it's also requires 2 people.

I saw that one. Looked like it was hard to fish through the window, but if you say it works good I will give it a try.

Thanks.

I have used it with good results, you may be able to find one at your local paint shop if you don't want to wait for shipping. Just remember to not put pressure on the glass, rather toward the metal of the car than the glass if you run into a tough area. The windshield will be tougher than the rear window.

.035 Mig wire is all we use. DO NOT try the special tool on the windsheild, you WILL most likely break it. The rear window is temped, a hammer wont hurt it unless you swing the hell out of it, but the laminated 35 year old front is delicate at best. Cut a piece of wire 3' long, Just tie the wire arond a screwdriver in a twisting and knoting pattern, then find a spot you can slip it through the budle. Tie that end to another screwdriver. Then pull the 2 ends and work it around the glass.
