Guys with lowered front ends ( coil overs),what’s the min distance you would need on your LCA bump stops to frame?? This is on a 69 camaro.

I've got my 68 Chevelle lowered about 1 1/2" maybe 2" . The lower stock A-arm is not quite level from CL of balljoint to CL of mounting bolts and that gives me a whisker hair between the bump stop and the frame......so I put my SPC cone joust style bump stops (# 95339) on my stationary belt sander and shaved 1/2" in the same cone shape to give me about 5/8" clearance.
I think your Camaro uses a rectangular bump stop but we did use the above SPC round bump stops on a friends 67 Camaro.
I'm running Vari shock coilovers on my Chevelle w/400 lbs springs and I'm quite happy with the setup.

Perfect. Thank you for the reply!! I did cut off a 1/2 inch from the stock rubber stops. I’m about an inch away now. I was just curious if an inch was enough. Thx again.

One inch should give you around two inches of compression which is pretty good. If you could use the S10 progressive bumpstop that would be even better.
