Mustang Octane Anyone?

Got it posted in Emergency Room, but no replies. Someone must know what octane a stock mustang GT requires.

What year? Most likely they are going to recommend Premium for any Gt or performance model.

My best memory says 91 octane, but then again I'm actually remembering back to 1990 to when I carpooled with a friend in his then new 5.0 convertible. Probably the best thing to do is visit a Mustang specific forum with lots of Fox body owners, like over at www.stangnet.com .

I had to run 89 or better in my '84.

My 89 5.0 stated minimum 87.
