I am starting to rebuild my 69z and bring it into modern era. Bought a gen 5 lt1 with 10 sp. Would like to put front steer R & P so I will have more room for the lt1 oil pan. Upgrade all the suspension ridetech w/coil-overs.

Front steer rack and pinion conversions are not popular on this forum due to poor steering geometry. An aftermarket subframe designed for front steer rack is a much better option.

Or just get a Turn One box with improved valving for a rack feel.

Just FYI the chev 10 speed doesn't get much love on this forum. Do a search on the transmission section on this forum.

You’re going to need an aftermarket oil pan like the Holley. Most likely aftermarket accessory drive too. Holley midmount is nice. Those engines and transmissions just don’t drop in. Tunnel will need to be raised too.

You will likely need to relieve the firewall to make room for the high pressure pump too
