What benefit would there be to using a FAST over a stock LS2 computer?

Which FAST, the LS1 kit, or?? I'd say that you could build your own custom speed density tables if you didn't want to run a MAF. There are tuners that allow you to do this, though.

There are other things like external nitrous staging & such. What are you're plans?

Well, for one you could tune the FAST! LS2 tuning is still not available to us regular folks. You could find a tuner though that could do it. I think an aftermarket system would be my only choice as you don't need most of the controls the factory computer has anyway. It would be a much cleaner install. However, if the engine was going to remain stock I might lean towards the factory computer with an aftermarket custom harness for your car.

By the way, the factory pcm can be run speed density too; that's what I'm doing with my GTO twin turbo project.

By 'tuners', that's what I meant.
