Looking for some advice for a friend that's not so computer savy ..

He did a conversion on his '56 Chevy with '87 corvette bits but it struggling with brakes and power steering. He has a frame mounted master cylinder and disc brakes all around.

He expected the brakes to have better stopping power and easier turning. Two separate issues but he is considering a hydraboost setup.

I've read many posts and it seems like the stock '87 setup should work pretty well for this setup.

I know devil in the details and can get more complete info on his setup...

Any good tuning guides for this setup?

Appreciate any input and advice.

I have a frame mounted master in my 56 Chevy Cameo pickup with C5 brakes. Performance was a little underwhelming because of the small diameter booster. I upgraded to more aggressive brake pads and it made an improvement. Still not awesome but ok.

Does he have stock C4 brakes front and rear? Stock booster? More details might help.

If he has a frame mounted master he does not have a stock C4 booster. Most likely a 7” booster iirc.
