That looks like they spliced the new Camaro concept (although they were originally ver similar) with a Z06 Vette and the 2009 Challenger. They seem too busy....I think. There just something not quite right about them. hmmmmmm. Anyone able to see it or is it just me?

Yeah, a little too much goin on there. Throttle it back a tad, you don't need to use elements from every version of the T/A in a single car.
.....and are those T-tops? ick.

The fog lights in the lower valance look like they were stolen from a CTS or STS! Are we TRYING to add to the Caddy influence?!?!

Some people might not like the look, but there's not much better than cruising with the T-tops off in the summer. :drive:

...and it's awesome when they creak, leak and whistle on the highway.
They just look a little too mullet/disco for my taste.
My mom had a 3rd Gen IROC with T-tops. That was the only thing I didn't like about that car.

That's true for the older models, but I think GM's resolved this problem with the 4th gens, atleast the LS1 4th gens. The T-tops on my '01 do not creak, leak or whistle on the highway, even at triple digit speeds. Likewise, since all 4th gens had black roofs they're hardly noticeable from a visual stand point. Most people I've encountered hate t-tops because of past experiences with 3rd generation F-bodies; I've never owned one, so my only experience has been a positive one.

T-tops are 'ok'.
The top of the grill looks good, the bottom looks like an RX-8 in the middle and an STS on the outsides.
No shaker...what's the point with a long runner, front-TB type intake.
IMO, the whole car is fugly (the starting camaro concept). The Challenger IMO looks much better...but I know they'll F- it up before it hits the streets.

I think this bird looks alot better than the Camaro. But that's just my opinion.

I agree. I miss having T-Tops big time. I always liked them way better than convertibles. Thats one of the main things I miss from selling my 96' Formula that I wish my 69 Camaro had.
Yes I thought about it but no I wont do it.
I also think that bird looks better than the new Camaro.

Well, I liked the first pic the best. I would ditch the shaker, t-tops and the side spoilers.
I do like the front end and I think it looks better than the Camaro concept from a homogenous, integrated stand point. I think the front of the black car has some nice front styling elements to it as well. I also like the fender vents- very Firebird-ish.
I think the front lower section looks a little too much like the Saturn Sky (or is it Skye?) in the fog lamp section.
Still, maybe GM will take note of some styling cues and play with it.

I couldn't agree more. Had an '84 Mustang GT FB w/ T-tops. Best thing about that car.

Yea but you lose so much torsional rigidity with a convertible. I'm sure you lose some with T-tops as well, but probably not as much as a convertible.
EDIT: Now that I say that, I think I remember reading somewhere that the 1st gen convertibles had some braces under the floorpan that actually made them as stiff or stiffer than the hardtops. Anyone know if that's true? Ok, I'll stop hijacking this thread now. :offtopic:

I'll take mine in gold with sidepipes. And it is too bad GM said it wouldn't be back. Still, maybe the guys that made a chevelle out of the GTO will take a whack at making a treans am out of the new Camaro.
Anybody see the Detroit Auto Show Preview with the new Camaro?
