Hey Guys, I’ve been on the site for sometime, but only posted once. I’m Phil and I live in Mt Sinai, N.Y. I have a 1970 Nova SS and a 1968 Camaro in the build process. The car is freshly painted and looks beautiful but I hit a wall. I’m having so many problems with things not fitting and trying to get the right information. It’s too much to go into right off the bat. But I’m going to list what I have.
Freshly built bbc 468, TKO 5,speed, American Autowire upgrade kit, American Racing Headers SS. Ridetech Strong Arms & drop spindles w/ Truturn, Ridetech 4 link kit, Borgensen 12.7:1 box, front Wilwood brake kit, Vintage Air kit, Cold Case Rad & Fan. Nu-Relics power window kit, that worked real nice. That’s the big stuff.
1st big issue is the headers will not fit with the Truturn sys. I had called Ridetech prior to purchase and told them exactly what my build was. Sucks that the hunger for money and I get screwed. For them to only tell me after when I have problems that it’s really designed for an LS, and won’t work with a bbc. I later tried the Patriot mid lengths with no luck, others told me those fit in their cars built the same, no luck there. Now I have a set of Hooker Headers “that I hate” that may work with some heavy persuasion..
