Well so far each thread has boiled down to a coversation about this topic. So why don't we look at actual data. That, and I've never started a poll before and need to practice.
I'm interseted to see what we all think. Most of the other threads have covered this to the point of losing what the threads were supposed to be about.

As I've said in the other threads-- it's fine as is.

It's a very modern car with retro touches.. I feel it's less retro than say the '05 Mustang..
I pays homage to it's heritage.. you know it's a Camaro even without the badges..

I definetly like I just hope it stays the same when it comes to market.

I suppose I should state my position as well.
I think the car is ok the way it is.
But, I would like it better if the fenders and quarters were 69ish and a RS headlight grill was offered
But I'll take this one.

I just want it a little more rounded. Other than that, the wife wants his and hers. We are both stoked!

I like where they are going with the design. Of all the kartoons floating about over the last couple years I prefer John McBride's BY FAR. I think a couple of tweaks here and there on this concept and I will be very pleased with the design. Heck, even my fiance digs it and she normally has a pretty profound aversion to "muscle-car" styling.

I think it look Awesome the way it is .............. having said that WE all know what happened to the Mustang Concept to Showroom the smoothed it and changed it and redsigned it and now it looks .............. good..... but not as hot as the concept was. and i bet the same will happen to this one as well. but if they could leave it the way it is i love it.

 This is now the 3rd or 4th thread about this and everyone just replies with the same thing they said in the other posts. Its like an echo in here. :lmao:
Sorry, I had to do it. I still have the same opinion as I posted in the "my opinion on the new Camaro" thread.

Thank goodness we have Ford & Dodge to fill our "retro" needs.
That is all.

I agree.
The front end of the car just ruins it for me.

I'm wondering how many of you guys who don't think it looks enough like a '69 have owned a third or fourth gen Camaro? While I personally think the '69 is the most attractive Camaro ever, I like almost all of the years they were made, and I still wish I'd kept my '83, which is why I won't get rid of my '96, even if I do end up buying a 5th gen. Let's face facts, there is no way that GM is going to build a car for someone who hasn't bought a new Camaro since 1969.
I like the new concept, I'm curious to see how much of it GM could actually retain and bring to market, hopefully it won't be watered down too much.

I had a 84, 87, 89, 2002. 84, 87 and 89 were my daily drivers.

I had a '67 Camaro, 10 or so 1st gen Firebirds(a '69 was my first car in '78), two '78 Camaros, and now I've got a '68 and a '69. The 3rd gen Camaro was where Chebby lost me as a Camaro fan. The 4th gen was alright, but I was already gone. Same with the 'Vette. I was a fan(owned 2 of 'em) until they came out with the '84. That design "left me cold as a stone" thx E.B.). The 'Vette turned into a heck of a performance car, but the design just doesn't move me.

I like it, and would consider purchasing one, but I love older musclecars too much to give up the money for a new car.
