Good morning pro/touring, I’m sorting out my two cars, my 68 rs I’ve owned since 1979, was fully restored in 81-82 now it’s time to wake it up again. My kids have grown & flown. My other car is a survivor 1969 l46 corvette, more on that one later…

my 68 rs is truly a nice car, it needed brakes so an upgrade to willwood 4 wheel power disc is done (dyna pro 4 piston /2 rear) is done, now getting full ridetech coil overs/ four link/ truturn/ 2” drop spindles.

Once the car is back on the ground I will try to figure out as much wheel tire I can fit inside the wheel wells without tubbing or rubbing.
Ive had some input from the guys at ridetech, I found some summit wheels with specs that might work, I did get a wheel/tire fitment tool from speedway motors to help with the head scratching task….. should be here today.
I look forward to getting after this project, an ls3/530 tremec 6 spd will be my goal for drivetrain…. But one step at a time….. I’ll head over to the wheel size thread for advice as I’m awaiting the rear cradle and coil kit to be ordered in, I just received the front upper lower arms and coil overs 2 weeks ago, shaking the piggy bank for the back half…..

Welcome to the site!

One step at a time is a good way to tackle a big project.

Fire up a build thread some time. We would all love to see it.

Thanks, I’ll try to get some photos of the suspension going, it’s kinda snowballed abit but I’ve owned it so long and really wanted to wake it up. It is a true rs, was a mild 327 power glide, I still have much of the original parts stashed from 1980, restored it with a 350 auto/ column shift still has 2spd indicator, the guys at Jack Frost auto really like the car, there is s connect / cruise ls3/530hp in crate on the shelf with the matching auto trans(I’m not familiar with the new automatics) I do prefer a tremec 6spd , I just swapped a tkx into my 69 vette….. another story for another day.

Welcome!! This place is full of things that lead to addiction. Be careful or that survivor L46 Vette will end up like mine. TKX is a great first step. I'm not sure there is much advantage to the T-56 now.
