Just wanted to post some pics of what I have been working on. Please don't drill me - it's currently not even close to Pro Touring. A decision was made by the owner and myself recently to go away from the complete resto and have a little fun. Air Ride Technologies all the way around, Budnik Muroc II wheels (18"), disc brakes, 700R4 trans and a little leather on the inside.
Anyways, thanks for all the help you guys and gals have provided. While it may not fit a definition-the help you guys have provided through posts and reading has been very beneficial.
Thanks again,
Mark

I like it. Something besides a Camaro or Firebird... Even though I fall into that category, its nice to see something different for a change. I look forward to seeing updates!

Thanks for the kind responses. I was a tad worried about posting pics of a car with wide whites. Not usually seen around here.
Travis - The change was decided on just a couple of weeks ago. Once the suspension is under it, we'll be measuring to see what will fit. As soon as they go on it, I promise some pics.
Bill - It is an Impala. The engine is a 348 bored .040 over with a little cam in it. Yet to hear it run. I am extremely anxious.
Bob - Sounds like you have been around some "W" engines in your life.
Thanks again guys, Mark

Nothing wrong with building something different that's why I like this site and going to the goodguys show. You see alot of stuff that you may not think about building.:twothumbs

Travis - I agree 18's and 20's would look better. I am doing good in this project to get the 18's. The car belongs to an older gentleman that does not quite get the current trends. He got shamed into the wheels and stance by his son when I brought the car back to the shop after its trip to the paint booth. His son told him the car sets to high and the wheels look like s#*t. I could not have paid his son and put him up to it any better if I had wanted to. Anyways, I'll take what I can get as we convert an old schooler into a new schooler.
