I’ve been a member and a lurker for a looong time (almost 20 years). Well now I’m 40 and I have the opportunity to re restore the car me and my dad rebuilt when I was 17 a 1968 Camaro. I’ve always wanted to do a pro touring style build just never had the time or funds to do it (or could convince my dad to do it 😂) and now I do. So hear I am again to learn from all those before me. I’d like to say that parts have came a long way from when I was last on here both in the availability and variety for these older cars. I also have a kit car I built an awhile back, it’s a dragon motor cars replica of a 1958 jaguar lister. It runs all c4 suspension with coil overs 335 tires on all 4 corners with a 600 hp carbureted ls1 t56 combo. It’s a cool car but I’ve always like a good pro touring Camaro which I probably will sell eventually to continue to fund the Camaro. Anyways thanks for the community of information! Oh yea and my Camaro build in progress is a Lt4 10 speed with Detroit speed everything at least for now. Thanks again

Lol! The flames are definitely going away. They were cool when my dad and I had it painted in 91’ but I think I’m just going stick with a solid color. Thanks for the humor!

Oh, I like the retro look. It stands out in the crowd.
This looks like it will be a fun ride.

Well after a year of work I’d figure I’d update this thread on how far I’ve gotten.

That's the best portable paint booth front yard paint job that I have ever seen. Car looks great. Well done,

That thing is gonna be a MONSTER! Awesome build. I've never been a paint and body guy, much respect to those who can do it.
