Hey guys doin a 68 Camaro build with a 6.0 ls2. Want some extra power can’t decide between an lsa vs procharger. What’s everyone seeing is working out better for reliability

I have experience with both & they give somewhat different results.
The LSA...
It gives full boost on the low end which hits hard & tends to challenge traction on the street.
They are typically quieter during normal driving than a Procharger.
Probably cheaper to find a used unit.
Unless using LS3 heads, the port mismatch can cause some drivability issues due to the injector spray pattern on the port walls.
The Procharger...
Gives a proportional boost increase as RPM comes up.
Has the ability to make more HP on the top end.
Can get by with a relatively simple air-to-air intercooler & works with the factory intake.
Reliability is very good with the LSA as it's OEM spec.
I haven't had issues with Prochargers either, but I have heard of failures with both.
Air-to-air intercoolers are simpler than air-to-water, with respect to hoses, pumps etc. requiring maintenance & things to go wrong.
If I was to build for max performance, I would do a Procharger.
For a towing application I would go with an Eaton style charger.
Visually the LSA charger looks good under the hood.
Since I have both, I did not give you a recommendation... I just wanted to provide facts to help you make your decision.

LSA looks cooler. ProCharger sounds cooler. Was an LSA guy till I owned a ProCharger…
