So, this is partially brake related but more steering. I am using a hydra boost in my brake system and Im trying to figure out which power steering pump to go with. I know turn one makes an excellent product but I came across another company that sells an entire pump and reservoir kit specifically for a hydra boost. Has anybody heard of or used Performance Steering Components? Im also open to other company suggestions. Also Turn One carries a 1800PSI pump but I am mostly seeing 1500PSI pumps. Will 1500PSI be sufficient for mostly just street activities?

I would talk to the folks at Hydratech for suggestions.

My psc unit was fine. Currently running a jones pump but at idle rpms it doesn’t seem to have enough pressure. If this one goes out I’ll switch to a turn one.

I took a look at these guys and although they have a very nice looking product, I have already purchased a master cylinder and hydra boost.

Im sure they do and Im leaning in that direction but should I go with the 1500PSI or the 1800PSI

Jeff at Turn One will get you setup. Great company to deal with.

Ive run hydroboost setups in nearly everyting i have owned.
I have never purchased a special PS pump for any set up.
Currenlty the two in the shop, 'ls swaps' one is a factory LS3 using the factory pump and the other is a 2004 truck 5.3 using the factory truck pump.

Maybe i am missing something, but, even back in the 90s i used a hydroboost with a stock 350 SBC pump and never saw/felt any issues.

1500 psi is just fine for street activities. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use anything with more than 1600 psi for a hydroboost system.

X2. I don't think the OP ever mentioned the setup/configuration of his engine - that would help a lot with helping to determine what they might need. For us older school guys, the Saginaw canned ham pumps have always worked very well with hydroboost - choose one from an application that originally had hydroboost for extra assurance.

Engine is a stroked LS3 with a built 4L60E and 4000 stall converter. I am running a 10% under drive crank pulley also which is another variable that may need to be addressed.Steering gearbox is a quick ratio Borgenson

I think whatever Type 2 pump came with that engine would probably be fine.
