Im sure this has been beat into the ground over and over, but I am gonna ask anyway. I am looking into putting a 10 point in my chevelle, and am trying to explore all options possible.

I know that a cage from scratch will fit much better, and look cleaner, but damn I hate building them. So here I am, hoping you can toss me some ideas on where to find pre-fab, or box kits. Anything would be great..

Thanks

not sure where you are located but you can buy a kit and have it welded or find a shop that will bend one up from scratch...looks alot better IMHO

Z, im outside Leander Tx, just north of Austin. Guess I should get off my lazy arse and fill all that stuff in so ppl wont have to ask.

I found some box kits, one from Summit, and the other for S&W. Anyone have any other ideas, or know of any shop around my area, or hell in central TX, I could look into?

Or do both. The S&W 6 point kit might make a good starting point if you feel the money spent is worth saving you a few bends. But yeah, nothing fits like custom.

Too bad you're about 20 hours away ;) Let me know if you need something bent. I've never installed an S&W but I've heard they're decent.

Done many Chevelle cages? I looked at your site, and you work looks awesome, with alot more options than I have been seeing. I have been asking around my area and not having a whole lot of luck. I do go up to your area once or twice a yr, shoot me a couple prices, (base+1, and base+2)maybe we can work something out...

I'm with Steevo, I wish I had started with an S&W kit and made the reat custom. The S&W kit has easier welding points because of the front halo wrapping around and the uprights mounting on the bottom of the tube. It also makes it fit farther forward toward the windsheild keeping it more out of your view if you are a taller person. Price for a kit is also usually a bit less and the time it helps save from making a mistake and the cost of tube these days makes them a real value all around.
