TR6060 swap - missing Reverse light switch

We swapped a 2018 Camaro ZL1 TR6060 into my 1969 C10 big block pickup. The trans is shifting just fine and is sending speed info to my Dakota Digital RTX instrument cluster. We replaces the rear/remote Camaro ****er with an SST center mount shifter. We did not wire up the CAGS or Reverse Lockout Solenoid. On the passenger side of the transmission, there was no reverse backup light switch in the lower center hole. That hole is not threaded like earlier transmissions. Is there a different location for the reverse light switch, or a way to activate the backup lights from the transmission?

there is no "reverse switch" there is a gear position sensor on the tail housing, 4 pin. can see it abit on the left of pic, hiding behind the old shifter brackets. reading the circuit description for the system on service information, looks like its a pulse width operated switch to determine gear position. from looking at schematics and pinouts, i dont see an easy way to make it work. might be able to adapt a old style reverse switch and install it in place of the reverse lock out.

Thank you @Carkrazy1987 and @Ryeguy2006a. I know the ZL1 had a reverse light function, so its just a matter of figuring out how it was wired up and if I can use it to power up my backup lights. I have a new wiring harness in the truck, so just need something that indicates reverse to short the switch and turn on the lights.

As far as using some from the reverse lockout... it seems like it get energized below 5 mph (from the VSS reading, to open the selenoid to make it easy to shift into reverse. I dont think it actually knows when the transmission is in reverse itself.

If the hold where the normal reverse switch is located in the T56 or other TR6060's were tapped ahd theaded. I imagine that would work too. Just seems a little extreme to get a backup light working.

the way the switch works, its not so much a switch, but multi position sensor, and uses voltage resistance to signal the ecm what gear it is in. so using the factory switch would probably be a pita if you werent using the factory ecm and harness. even then it sends a can bus signal to the bcm to command the light after. so in short no easy way of using the factory switch. as far as using the reverse lock out, i know that wouldnt work, i cant remember if the reverse lock out is a threaded hole, i was thinking maybe use that threaded hole to install a switch into. i dont know if that tr6060 has the corresponding lever inside the trans shift rail to activate a reverse switch even if you were to drill and tap the original hole. might be easyer to make a lil bracket to bolt to the shifter with a micro switch to activate reverse lamps
