Not sure if I’m posting in the right location.
I have a 69 Firebird with a ridetech 4 link. My cradle is not tight to the frame rails. There is about 1/4 inch of movement. I’m running an LS that is centred in the subframe and my question is, where is the axle pinion yoke supposed to be located? If I try to centre it the axle is to far to the driver’s side and if I offset it about 1/2 to the passengers side the driveline will not be centred. The driveshaft will be on an angle.
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

It is my understanding that stock Pontiac blocks and 10/12 bolt rearends are offset by 1/2 inch. I cant speak to an LS block, but believe theyre centered as you stated. Did you purchase the rearend with the 4 link brackets already welded on? What type of rearend is it? It seems to me that your only option at this point to correct it is to fix the bracket location on the housing, otherwise you will have no choice but to go with the 1/2 inch offset. I am in the middle of installing the same thing on my 68 firebird. I am looking into a quickperformance ford 9 inch, but imagine I will get by with stock positioning due to having a pontiac 400.

The guys at Currie told me they build all their 9” housings with a 1/2” passenger side offset. I think they said they do this even with the engine centered to give the u-joints some operating angle.

You don't use the pinion as a center dimension. Always use the axle flanges / wheels etc.
