So i am starting to look for hood hinges for both of my cars. i was looking at the ringbrothers hinge for the camaro but it states that they open 30% less then the stock ones. if anything i would like for them to open more not less. any brand recommendations for the camaro or elcamino? both have steel hoods at this time.
Thanks

I think the overseas knockoffs kicked Felser off the market. I don't see them listed anymore on his site. Billet Specialties makes a set. I would say either them or EMS. Then there's always the Chinese ones. I've used them for a buddy's car but we had to change the shocks and Loctite all the bolts.

I have Ringbrothers hood hinges and I was also worried about the 30% less open factor, however, after installing them it really doesnt make a difference + the air frames look way better then any other hinge on the market. You wont regret buying any Ringbrothers products.

My advice is to avoid any hinges that use small heim links. The threads can pull out so easily. Sure they will replace them for free but what a PITA….

I went with Ringbrothers on my 1970 Cutlass. Still in the box though.
