Pics below.I like how the top of the wheel aligns with the chrome fender moulding. Will this drop in height be practical for driving or is this stance just for looks? Is it a bagged car ?

Not a problem IMHO if you're careful with speed bumps and the tires don't rub with suspension compressed in full turn.

This particular Chevelle has a custom chassis, a custom C6-based front suspension, custom exhaust and headers (which you can see are packaged tightly and not hanging low).
My 68 Cutlass is dropped 1" in the front, stock height in the back with 26" tall tires. Those heights are verified using factory datums. Front crossmember is about 4" off the ground. My headers (long tube Hookers) hang low enough that most speedbumps require me to come to a crawl and take at an angle and I still scrape. From what I've found, the best off-the-shelf headers available would only buy me an extra half inch (at a cost of $1600). If I didn't have speedbumps at both my gas station and my work, I'd never notice the low ride height (other than putting the jack under the front crossmember). Unfortunately, I go those two places a heck of a lot, so I notice it a heck of a lot.
I have no idea how tight Chevelle headers package, but one would hope there would be more options than an Oldsmobile has. Or you can not use long tubes and not have to worry about it.

My Cutlass is similar to Olds.PhD, I have just under 4" of clearance to the headers. I installed new headers 3 years ago and they don't have any scraps, yet. I am more cautious when I drive it, but nothing unreasonable.
My opinion, cars look lower in person than they do online. That Chevelle would look very low in if you saw it in person. My point is, you can do a reasonable drop and make the car look great and drive just fine, without the need to slam it.
Do you also have a 70 Chevelle? In the 68-72 Cutlass world, not all years have the same wheel opening size/shape, 68/69 are the same, and then 70-72 are different than 68/69. Not sure if that applies to Chevelles or not.
