Greetings all, I am new to the site, but boy am I glad I found you guys! I'm chasing my tail on a custom brake system and reading through several posts you are some seriously knowledgeable folks. Looking forward to the discussions. A bit about me: 19.5 years active duty military, currently stationed/residing close to St Louis, MO. Vehicle Mechanic for the DoD for most of my career. At the moment I work at headquarters for a 2 Star. I have three toys: 2014 Indian Chief Vintage, 1967 Chevy Impala, and a 1936 Dodge D2 Touring Sedan. The '36 is but a shell...we don't talk about the 36. Bought my Impala in '20. Of course, the engine and trans were "rebuilt recently" and as it turns out, the 327 bored .030 over barely passed a compression test. So what started with building a 350 bored and stroked to a 385 putting out over 400 hp, went further down the road to front suspension replacement. Since I did the front suspension, may as well do the rear...After the rear, got tired of chasing electrical gremlins, so bought a whole car update wiring harness. In the middle of doing that, may as well swap the front drums to disc, oops, broke brake lines; gotta buy new ones. Since we're already swapping lines, may as well update the master cylinder and booster with a hydroboost system. Aaannd that's where we're at now.
