Hello…Brad here. New to the forum. Been into muscle cars for a lifetime. I appreciate all of them but have mainly worked on ‘68-72 GM A-bodies. Previously owned Chevelles, GTOs, 442s, a GS, and a Monte. Always heard family stories of a ‘66 442 convertible, Corvair, Corvette, and Javelins. Got hands-on in Phoenix during the early 90’s. Neighbors on both sides were big muscle car restoration guys…one had a variety of MOPARS and a Pantera, the other a ‘69 Nova and a ‘70 Z/28. Bought what I could afford as a first car…a ’71 Cutlass S, running and driving, 350/350 for $1,800. Eventually dropped in a 455 from a ‘70 Olds 98, went through everything front-to-back, and rebuilt everything firewall forward. Unfortunately, while in the bodywork stage it was completely destroyed while parked in front of the house. A teenager joy-riding his mother’s Cadillac with his girlfriend…and a baby in the backseat…hit the car head-on and pushed it back over 10 feet! The eventual result was a yard full of parts and a destroyed body leaving on a flatbed tow truck…minus every nut and bolt. Despite the setback, I found a ‘70 Cutlass in south Phoenix and transferred everything over. Daily drove that car for 7 years with no maintenance issues besides oil changes and basic tune ups.

Over the years I’ve spent more time than I can count in salvage yards from Phoenix to Tucson, and even Alaska. Branched out into Chevy trucks and also a Mustang. Currently have two projects: a ‘69 Mustang Fastback on a Schwartz Performance frame and a ‘72 C20 frame-off restomod. Both from Arizona but now near Charlotte, NC.

‘69 Mustang Fastback: Body mounted on frame. Need to select engine and transmission. Start bodywork.

‘72 Chevy Cheyenne Super C20: Designed to be a restomod hauler. Factory black exterior, white interior, fully loaded (tilt column, A/C, disc brakes, tool box in bed), 350/T-350. Mods: 383 stroker, T-350 with Gear Vendors overdrive, Dana 70 with 4:10, ARB locker, 4 wheel disc brakes, rear lowered 2” with custom springs that still maintain tow rating, one piece front windows (butterfly delete), power windows, power door locks, Painless Phantom push-button start, modern A/C, Classic Instruments gauges, cowl induction hood, Hydroboost brakes, billet led turn signals and brakes, Oracle halo headlights. Frame-off 80% complete - running/driving, bed needs painting, install bumpers/trim.
