Hey guys, just wanted to show the new project that has been in the backyard literally since the day I was born. The question right now is either to go a more modern route with the engine (aluminum 427) or to keep it original and stay with the iron block. We will be racing it in a vintage class and all those guys are cheating anyway. What do you guys think?203891203892203893

I guess it depends on which vintage group you’re racing with, but when I looked, aluminum blocks were legal in SVRA for 427s. That’s definitely the route I’d be going.

They are legal in SVRA, but if you want to race the big deal events like Monterrey you need to have the ‘golden band’ engine. Exactly as it was in ‘69. Personally I think it would make more sense to go aluminum, and it would be more fun!

Damn, that looks like a fun build. Loves me a vintage road race C2.
