I'm finally back to my 69 Camaro PT project car. I've been out of the car seen for a few years and I'm trying to catch up. The name "No Bucks" refers to my current budget for the car. I see lots of high dollar machines and parts but I'm going to go the opposite direction.
the car is a 1969 RS Camaro, originally 350/saginaw 4-spd. Loaded with factory options A/C, PS, PDB,TW, Rosewood wheel, console, gauges, houndtooth interior etc. Only original part that is missing is the engine. I've had a bunch of camaro projects but I have since gotten married and now I'm down to just this one. I have a bunch of parts I've collected over the years and plan to use these to help finance the project.
I've finally got a bit of time to work on the car and have to have it done before "Cool April nights" car show.
The only other thing going for me is that I have some fab skills and hope to use those to make up for the lack of funds where ever possible.

Currently the car is strippped down to the body shell.
The front subframe is rebuilt with poly bushings and relocated stock upper A-arms.
I have C4 front control arms, spindles brakes etc that I was hoping to use with a Wayne Due subframe but that just doesn't seem to be in the budget.
Rear axle will be a 2" narrowed 12 bolt with 4.56's(have this)
trans will be T56(located just need the $$)

This week i hope to:
mini tub the rear
patch couple of spots on DS quarter panel(already replace PS quarter)
weld in truck pan(already cut out)
weld seems on stock subframe
fab and install subframe connectors
build 10 point rollcage(designed in head)

Not likely that I'll get this all done but lets see if I can at least make some progress!

Suggestions appreciated.

pics to follow.

OK I could use some input on the rear axle.
I have a stock 69 12 bolt open with 3.07's
A built 12 bolt with 4.56's,posi and moser shafts, 2" narrower than stock.
And a 9" housing with camaro multileaf perches.
They all have the perches in the wrong place for my application(mini tub)
I was planning on selling the stock 12 bolt and using the built 12 bolt. I wanted to use the money towards a built T56 I've located(2g's) since that is one of the main expenses I'll have to get to car driving.

I can cut, weld and jig up the 9" to narrow it to just the right width; but the money to build the 9" may go over the price of selling the built 12 bolt.
What to do??

We're in the same dilemma all kinds of cool ideas and no cash to do it. I really feel your pain my 69 has been in the construction phase since I bought it in octo. 88. Now my daughter is getting married next spring and the wife says $500 and a plane ticket to Vegas won't cut it. :scared: :crying:
