Check out Google maps now. Look at some of the larger metropolitan areas and click on the "Street View" button. Any street outlined in blue can be zoomed down to and you can drive down the street looking 360 degrees, the resolution is awesome. Very cool but sort of scary too.

Google Streets has a photo of my house while it was still under construction, actually right after demo.
