hey guys, my 07 Z06 (built Nov 06) has about 1500 miles on it and I am a bit disappointed about this weird sound coming from underneath the center console area.

When I am on First, second or third gear and push the gas pedal, the car sounds like it has a small plane turbine under the console area. Sounds like when you put an automatic car in reverse and drive at high speeds.
The weird thing to me, is that when I release the pedal, the sound disappears.
This is happening at low speed and over 70 mph in sixth gear also.
I did read a couple of thread about marbles in a can sound and shifter sounds but this is not the same in my case.
Does anybody have the same problem? any advice will be much appreciated.

Long story short, my Z has no GM warranty anymore.... so I canīt go to the dealer for this issue.

thank you....

Probably best to reach out to guys on the Corvette Forum.

I don’t have a corvette but I would recommend researching issues with corvette torque tube rubber driveshaft couplers. The couplers have a tendency to wear out and fall apart. Here is an example:

You actually can visit the dealer for a diagnostic, which normally runs an hour's shop time. The symptoms sound to me like a worn pinion bearing on the rear differential (whine on throttle, no whine off throttle, 70ish MPH) on a normal car, but I don't know how well that crosses over to a rear transmission vehicle.
