Long time lurker, enjoying all the builds and getting ideas!
Figured it was time to join and post my build. I bought my car about 10 years ago and my daughters gave it the name Pumpkin. She was a well loved bone stock car with 60,000 miles. The original owners grandson found pictures online and gave me some of history of the car.
After hearing how special this car was to the original owner, I decided to leave the body alone and build the suspension and slowly upgrade.
This is a small garage/driveway build. My goal was to upgrade when time and money was available.. the car was to remain a driver. So anything I did would only have a few days of down time.
During the years of ownership, many changes have been made.
Stock SBC
4 wheel disk brakes
Boxed upper and lower rear control arms
3.42 8.5 posi rear
Th350 -upgraded with shift improver
Hellwig front / rear sway bars
Just installed Global West upper/lower control arms with Viking #450 coil overs
Future plans - Bigger wheel/ Tire package (Need a sponsor ��), More power, More brake, Manual Trans and More Fun.. Love to do some autocross!
