I've been a lurker for a while, finally registered.

I have 66 Chevelle with an Ls3 that I built myself, T56 magnum, Helwig frame boxing kit and Baer brakes among many other features.

Look forward to participating in the forum.

Hey Troy welcome! I recognize you from TC and was recently thinking about your build (which is awesome BTW , please share some pics here!)Thanks for the welcome. I'll have to build up some cred (posts) before I can post photos.

The wife and I put over 600 miles on the car this weekend driving to Hot August Nights. It was a blast and the car ran perfectly all weekend.

Beauty! The stance is spot on. Do you know your fender arch to ground distance? Looks nice and low but not too low

Beauty! The stance is spot on. Do you know your fender arch to ground distance? Looks nice and low but not too lowThanks. They're at about 24 1/2". Any lower up front and the tire rub becomes a problem.

I find it to be a good hight for a car we can drive anywhere.

We drove over 600 miles this past weekend going to Hot August Nights. It was truly comfortable to drive. We drove from San Jose over hyw 88 to Genoa NV. without stopping. That's four hours of driving, could have gone longer but it was lunch time.

Also Drove over to Virginia city one day, that road going up the mountain, it's the same road they hold the hill climb races on, it's a blast in a car that handles well.

Then on Sunday, we drove over Mt Rose, another good mountain road, over to Tahoe city and down the CA side of Lake Tahoe and back home, again over 88.

Plud cruising downtown Reno a couple nights. The whole package makes it a joy to drive.

Thanks for the info Troy. Actually sounds a little lower than what I was expecting, which actually help me. Sounds like a solid build that’s fun to drive!
