Just finished dyno testing a LS2 for a customer in Hong Kong China.
It made 572 Hp and 555 lb ft through the stock cast manifolds and cats, with pump gas. To meet emissions we had to run it this way. This was with our tuning to the ecu for spark and fuel.
Easily will be 600+ with longtubes and 26 mpg.
Going into a black Ultima GTR

Sounds awesome. Did you tune with LS1-edit?

Given that, I have high hopes for my 427 LS2. I should know that number any time now.

what all was done to the engine? those are nice numbers. im assuming that is on an engine dyno not a chassis dyno. if so do you expect the drivetrain to take the standard 15% or less? im always so curious to see what people end up making at the wheels after an engine dyno. have to make sure the standard 15% still holds up.

I'd like to know too. Those are some huge gains over the stock output. Unless there's a power adder involved.

By "pump gas" do you mean the stuff bought down at the corner cheveron station?

I'd like to see the dyno curves. A lot of LSx builds seem to put up impressive peak numbers but are making that power at 6800rpm and are doing nothing below 3000rpm. Personally, I'd rather have a power curve that resembles a Ducati rather than a GSXR.

hahaha id have to agree. im getting adjusted to my SV650 and man that little thing is torquey. i love it. one day i may have to try a inline four and see how it is.

A set of AFR 205s/225s or comparable heads, a port matched FAST 90/90 setup and a properly sized / matched cam plus bolt-ons will get you there on an LS2. That number is pretty impressive through the stock manifolds and cats, though. I'd like to see the combo specs as well.

I just got all the parts for my LS2 story..

Comp Cam 230/232 114+2 cam, hardened pushrods, Comp 1.85 roller rockers and a set of the new AFR stage II heads.. oh, and a Meizier elec water pump.

FAST intake and LS2 TB will top it off along with my stepped longtubes.

Very curious what it will end up putting out

Guesses?

if your stock cubed and NA you should hit 470s at the wheels at least Steve. i would hope anyway.

Keep an eye on Jeff Schwartz.... he put my engine package together and he's doing a TT conversion on his now ready for Power Tour... I am coming over from Hong Kong to do it with him.

This thing is going to be firkin nuts when he's done..... he's aiming for 1000hp
