Been awhile since I posted. In fact I was in Iraq last time. Anyhow I'm either going to take one of two classes this semester and wanted some opinons on which to take. More than likely I can take the one I don't go with this semester in the summer. The deal is I only have a yr. left in school before I hit the streets. Thanks for the advice.

Bob

1. Intro to Combustion Engine Theory - Application of theory and laboratory situations pertaining to present-day power plants; engine operation, construction, disassembly, precision measuring, machining, and reassembly. * will lead to Multi cylinder engine overhaul and Performance engines classes in later semesters.

or

2. Intro to Welding - Selection and use of electric arc, oxyacetylene, inert gas, and wire-feed welders; emphasis on skills and competencies as demanded by industry. *will lead to TUNGSTEN INERT GAS WELD and Advanced TUNGSTEN INERT GAS WELD

I'd go with welding also...(having melted through my sheet metal more times than I want to think about right now).

My favorite is building engines. But I would certainly do the Welding class first.

Well it really depends. Are these classes electives for a specific degree or certification? If so, what are you specializing in and which class is a helps you reach that go? Of course, this may be a moot point if you are going to take the other class this summer.

This is just an elective.

Ok, little update. I originally had signed up for both classes, but the wife threw a screw in that one and said I only get one fun class and I had to focus the other on a core glass for graduation. So I dropped Intro to engines and went with welding. Thanks for the advice.
