Spoke to the guy doing my frame, and it sounds like I'm finally going to get some action so now I get to start buying parts! Part of what he's doing is engine mounts, and I plan to take my engine down for him to use to get it right. So, I need an oil pan for a 4th gen GM V8, needs to be low profile, have a windage tray, be able to handle a large cube (and possibly turbocharged) engine, and handle hard acceleration, cornering and braking. The K-member won't matter since it'll all be built, but I'm trying to get the engine as low in the truck as possible because I also want to use the Corvette rear mounted transaxle so there will be a torque tube involved.

So, any suggestions on what pan to use?

Prior to going to dry sump I was considering the mast pan, an improved racing crank scraper and windage tray with an accusump.

I'm running th Mast Motorsports stroker kit.
Fits great in my Speedtech pro touring subframe

All right, been looking and have this narrowed down to the Mast LS stroker oil pan kit, and the Holley 302-2. The Holley is a bit shorter but longer in front of the sump, and holds 6 quarts. Probably hold a bit less with the add-in (read-extra money) baffle kit that the Mast pan comes with. Costwise the Mast is the better deal, but I'm going to wait on them to answer a couple of questions before making a decision, mainly on sump capacity. But, 5.5 inches tall should fit the bill perfectly.

And, I gave pro-touring.com a little plug in my email, as pointing me their way.
