Picked this little gem up over the weekend
came with all you guys can see here
complete tci stage 2 chassis kit with Currie rear end
ls2 with afr heads
a tremec 5 speed trans
clean title Camaro with 90% of the prep work for paint done
came with 2014 Camaro ss seats front and rear that I will not be using

the tci kit is equipped with a stock width rear end which measured 58 1/2 inches how do I get a 12 inch wide wheel in the back here? Anyone know what backspacing i should start with

im really excited for this project

Pictures are at the guys house I got it from

will be updating shortly cause I’m going to hit this petty hard

Congratulations, sounds like a really good start and some nice parts! Looks like an RS gas cap and tail panel, so guessing it’s got hide-away headlights? Keep the updates coming and good luck!

Does have the electronic head away headlights, I will not be using them, they are brand new in the boxes. I like the standard headlights

started to get the rear suspension stuff mocked up, pretty bummed that the guy got the standard width rear end and tci kit, but what can i do? i dont want to order another rear end and dont want to deal with getting this one shortened, getting the brackets cut off and ordering new ones, and also ordering new lower mounts for the rear links. im really hoping i can get a 295 tire in a stock width rear end

I would be interested in the RS headlights if you're going to part with them.

Sure love it when the cool parts start rolling in and it fuels your energy to build.
Great build start.

I’m jealous of your build. I started to really look into what I got and I really want a narrowed rear end. I don’t know if I should call tci and get the front backets for the lower links where it attatches to the car and then see if I can get them to sell me the axle brackets cut the current ones off and scoot them in and have the rear end narrowed and buy some new axles
Or call tci order a whole rear kit with a new rear end and sell this one as is? I’m kinda confused
Of course i would buy a new one with no coil overs, and no brakes
And could sell the rear end with no coilovers or brakes

Personally having a lot of motor head friends, narrowing our own rears, building our own suspension, motor mounts etc for hot rods for years, i still think it's better to just order a shop built jig built and narrowed rear with suspension brackets on it. Unless whomever you got to narrow has a jig and can put your brackets dead on. TCI, or DSE, or Speedtech, whoever have jigs and that's what that guy does everyday . It's the same every time.
Just my two cents. It really won't cost that much more and for guarantee fit and engineered geometry ...
And jealousy will get you know but broker LOL like all of us here on the forum. I like your build thread start and wow I've learned so much from all the guys on here, what an incredible place.

Whether you narrow the existing or buy a new rearend, there’s not gonna be a cheaper or better time to do it then now…not in terms of parts pricing but just in terms of ease and convenience…and maybe parts pricing if costs keep going up. Plus, if your gonna do everything the way you want it, spend the time and money and get the stance and “look” right, otherwise, every time you look at the car, all you’ll see is what you didn’t do.

so i just could not get over the standard rear width rear end, so i called tci and talked with them for a while, i got the narrow housing and other little related parts ill need to install the kit i have with the narrow rear end, should be here the first week of February, im super excited. that also means ill have a std width currie fab 9 housing for sale with axles. willing to make someone a killer deal on it, can include a few items so you can use the tci kit if you give them a call and get the misc parts youll need from the, or you can cut the brackets off the rear end and use it on anything
